About Dr. Evans
R. Evans Professional Development & Consultant
Dr. Renee’ Evans is a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed School Counselor. She has a background in clinical counseling, career development, professional development training/consultation, employee assistance programs, and school counseling.
A former assistant professor in the Department of Human Development & Psychological Counseling at Appalachian State University, Dr. Evans has also been an adjunct at several other universities in Human Services and School Counseling.
As a consultant, Dr. Evans has collaborated with various organizations about their organizational and systemic process. This includes her work as an Employee Assistance Specialist (EAS-Clinical) where she provides clinical EAP assessment and referrals for various companies as well as responds to various training and critical incident stress debriefings.
Additionally, Dr. Evans’ background includes that of being a National School Counselor Trainer which entailed assisting school districts with addressing systemic issues relative to the role of school counselors and ways to help students reach their fullest potential. She has served as a delegate for her national professional association where she was one of five to represent school counselors from North Carolina. She is the 2007-2008 past president of the North Carolina School Counselor association and former Professional Development Chair for the North Carolina School Counselor Association’s Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for North Carolina Employee Assistance Professional Association (NC EAPA). She is also the 2011 Past Conference Chair for NC EAPA. Dr. Evans is also a trained Collaborative Divorce Professional and provides consultation to law firms and couples regarding the collaborative divorce process.
